David was a boy forsook by his father and mother but God took him and adopted him to become the greatest king of Israel- _”He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation. Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.”_ Psa.89:26,27
By divine adoption, David rose from the least born in his father’s house into becoming the greatest man in Israel.
By divine adoption, David that was forgotten by his earthly father later became the unforgettable king of Israel.
By divine adoption, David that was despised by his elder brothers rose to become the most distinguished ruler of Israel.
By divine adoption, David that was unqualified to join Saul’s army against Goliath was qualified by God to conquer and kill Goliath.
By divine adoption, David that was wandering in the wilderness later became the king wondered at by all and sundry.
By divine adoption, David that was unknown in Israel became the most renown king of Israel.
By divine adoption, David that was confronted by myriad of enemies and problems later enjoyed total victory over them- _”And David spake unto the Lord the words of this song in the day that the Lord had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul”_ 2Sam.22:1
By divine adoption, David the shepherd boy over few sheep later became the shepherd king over the whole nation of Israel- _”He chose David also his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds: From following the ewes great with young he brought him to feed Jacob his people, and Israel his inheritance.”_ Psa.78:70,71
But this divine adoption unto phenomenal prominence was a product of David being a man after God’s own heart- _”And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.”_ Acts 13:22
*When you have a heart for God, God will set his heart on you to adopt you for glorious destiny, royalty, dynasty and eternity.*
