Welcome to 06/06 and your INDISPENSABLE POSSESSIONS are in Hosea 06/06-
“For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.”
The thought of the people of God in Israel was that the greatest need of God are their sacrifice and burnt offerings.
But through prophet Hosea, God made it clear that His greatest need from His people is for them to always desire His mercy and knowledge above every other things.
Mercy is your grandest jackpot to win from God- “For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.” Rom.9: 15,16
Mercy is what you must covet so as to connect and convey His glory- “And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,” Rom.9: 23
Fortunately, these mercies of God are new every day for you not to be consumed so as to showcase His faithfulness- “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” Lam.3:22,23
The knowledge of God is what must also pursue, possess and project above any other- “Thus saith the Lord , Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord .” Jer.9: 23,24
Like grace, mercy is only multiplied to you through the knowledge of God you have- “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord” 2Pet.1:2
So the more you know God, the more of His mercy you can connect and convey to demonstrate the riches of His glory and faithfulness.
Prayer
O Lord make me addicted to knowing you so as to win your divine mercy daily to showcase your richest glory and faithfulness in Jesus name.
